Traffic. More fun in the Philippines. When you have a traffic crossing guard who dances like Michael Jackson, I’m sure it won’t be as irritating to be stuck in traffic. He also looks pretty effective in managing traffic with that kind of confidence going on. With almost every body grouchy in the morning (at least before the daily ingestion of caffeine) and a job that requires you to stand for hours on end, his high spirit and go-to attitude is one to be idolized.

So today I learned that Gov. Vilma Santos-Recto of Batangas City thought it would be a good idea to put a towering “BATANGAS” sign on Taal Volcano, similar to the “HOLLYWOOD” sign in California, in an effort to draw tourism (source).

Personally, I thought it would be ridiculous as it would destroy the scenic appeal of the Taal Volcano so I did not even bother reading the logic behind this idea. But other people like to take it to the next level.
